Dr. Michael Thomas is licensed to practice medicine in Washington earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Oklahoma State University and undertook both a rotating internship and general surgical residency at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center. Relocating to New York in the early 1990s, Dr. Michael Thomas completed his residency as a neurosurgeon. His residency enabled him to complete a series of research programs in clinical areas such as interstitial brachytherapy and cervical myelopathy. In 1994, Dr. Thomas won second place for his poster presentation at the 67th Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Specialists in Washington, DC.
Before joining the Sea Spine Orthopedic Institute in Plantation, Florida, Dr. Michael Thomas served as a neurosurgeon at Yakima Washington’s Health Management Associates. He has also served on several regional medical boards and educational organizations, including the Osteopathic Foundation of Central Washington and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.
